Holiday ornament making on Monday, Dec. 2, from 3 to 4 p.m. Join us for a holiday craft session. We will be making book-themed holiday ornaments. Ages eight and up. Registration is required.
Shibori-inspired paper snowflakes on Tuesday, Dec. 10 from 3 to 4 p.m. Let's create beautiful paper snowflakes and then transform our paper creations with an indigo-coloured dye. For ages eight and up. Registration is required.
Christmas music bingo on Wednesday, Dec. 11 from 3 to 4 p.m. Tis’ the season for Christmas tunes! Test your holiday music knowledge at a game of music bingo. Prizes for winners of each round.
Letters to Santa from Dec. 1 to Dec. 14. Visit the library and write a letter to Santa at our letter writing station. We will provide holiday themed stationery, letter templates, holiday stickers, and envelopes for your letter writing. Registration is required.
Holiday ornament making on Tuesday, Dec. 3 from 3 to 4 p.m. Join us for a holiday craft session. We will be creating glittery sequins ornaments. Registration required. Ages eight and up. Registration is required.
Holiday Makedo on Thursday, Dec. 5 from 3 to 4 p.m. Let’s get creative with Makedo and work together to construct and decorate a giant Christmas tree. For kids ages seven to 12. Registration is required.
Yarn wrapped ornaments on Friday, Dec. 6 from 11 a.m. to noon. Preschoolers…. let’s get crafty! In this session we will work to create yarn wrapped holiday ornaments. For kids ages three to five and their families. Registration is required.
Ink floating art on Monday, Dec. 9 from 3 to 4 p.m. Join us to explore the art of ink floating, a paper marbling technique! We will create greeting card art to share with friends and family. Suitable for kids ages 10 to 14. Registration is required.
Makedo winter castle on Wednesday, Dec. 18, from 3 to 4 p.m. Let's get creative with Makedo and collaboratively construct a giant cardboard winter castle! Cardboard and crafting supplies provided. Suitable for children ages six to 12 and their families. Registration is required.
Baby holiday party on Thursday, Dec. 19 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Join us for a special holiday baby time! We will sing festive songs and rhymes and make air dry clay holiday ornaments. Hot chocolate and treats are provided for parents and caregivers.
Winter Solstice lanterns on Friday, Dec. 20 from 3 to 4 p.m. Join us to create mason jar lanterns with tissue paper, glitter, sequins, and Mod Podge. For kids six and up. Registration is required.
Noon Year’s Eve Party on Tuesday, Dec. 31 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Let’s ring in the new year at noon! Families, join us for a story, craft, music, and dancing to ring in 2025! Registration is required.

Gingerbread house competition is on Tuesday, Dec. 17 from 3:15 to 4 p.m. Teens can join us for some holiday fun and create a gingerbread house. Participants will vote on their favourite gingerbread house creation for a chance to win a prize. Registration is required.
Holiday ornament making is on Friday, Dec. 13 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Seniors can join us for a holiday craft session. We will be hand-stitching reindeer ornaments. Registration is required.
Holiday baking recipe exchange on Wednesday, Dec. 18 from 11 a.m. to noon. Seniors, tis' the season for holiday treats! Join us for a holiday baking recipe exchange at the library. Do you have a favourite holiday recipe you would like to share with others? Are you interested in learning new holiday baking recipes? Come and share baking stories and trade baking tips with friends. Please bring one or two recipes, or a favourite baking cookbook, to share with the group. Refreshments and holiday treats will be provided. Registration is required.
