The Ladner Village Market will wrap up its 20th season Sunday.
"It's been a great, great season," says Tracey McKnight, one of the market organizers.
The popular attraction features vendors, local merchants and live outdoor entertainment and takes place along 48th Avenue from Delta to Elliott streets.
"It's hard to believe that it's been 20 years that the market has been going," she says.
This season has been exciting and also challenging, she says, explaining that organizers were able to accommodate produce/fruit vendors as their offerings came on earlier and subsequently finished earlier in the season.
About 35 new vendors took part in the market this season.
McKnight notes the BC Association of Farmers' Markets' Farmers Appreciation Week begins the day after the final Ladner market. About 20 farmers were represented this season, she adds.
The seventh and final market of the season runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday rain or shine.
Live entertainment is scheduled to include dance band KokoSoul from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and then RB/soul singer Emily Chambers from 1 to 4 p.m. Visit ladnervillagemarket.com for more on the event.
