Two men charged with breaking and entering at a Vancouver pub as well as two assaults have pleaded not guilty and have chosen to be tried by a provincial court judge.

Andrew Joseph Stojanovic, 32, and Aaron Theobalds, 46, both face the break and enter charge in connection with an incident at Junior’s Pub on the city’s Commercial Drive on April 24.

Both also face a charge of uttering threats to cause injury or death to a man on the same date.

As well, Stojanovic and Theobalds are charged with committing assault causing bodily harm of a woman the same day.

Stojanovic was released on bail that day and Theobalds a day later.

Additionally, there is a charge against both alleging an aggravated assault of a man the same day.

Count five on the court information sworn that same day alleges both had knives for a purpose dangerous to the public peace or for committing an offence.

Stojanovic appeared before Vancouver Provincial Court Judge John Milne on Nov. 27 with defence lawyer Robert Bellows.

Stojanovic’s and Theobalds’ bail conditions included no contact with each other and the alleged victims. They must also not go to the pub or possess weapons.

Theobalds has also been ordered to stay away from a Surrey residence and two people with the same last name.

The next court appearance is Dec. 3.
