Lower Mainland drivers may have hoped that yesterday's gas prices were a one-off. But the latest predictions from Gas Wizard suggest otherwise.
On Thursday, gas prices reached around 208.9 per litre in Metro Vancouver. Friday's regular gasoline fuel prices could see another nearly 10-cent increase, according to the gas price prediction website.
This means drivers in the Lower Mainland might be paying 218.9 cents per litre before the weekend. But they're not alone.
Drivers in Victoria are forecast to pay the same average price per litre on Friday, the forecast says.
The recent spike is not as high as earlier in the summer, when fuel prices hit a record $2.37 per litre.
Gas prices in Canada are on the rise
Although Vancouver and Victoria are expected to have the highest gas prices in the country, Kamloops and Prince George are not too far behind.
Drivers in Kamloops might be paying 177.9 cents per litre by Friday, Sept. 22, while individuals in Prince George could be paying 175.9 cents a litre.
Meanwhile, on the east coast, Torontonians might be paying 150.9 cents per litre and Montrealers 166.9 cents by the end of the week.
