Surrey RCMP says a year-long investigation into a criminal group has culminated in “one of the largest drug seizures” in the agency’s history.
According to Mounties, search warrants were conducted in Surrey, Coquitlam, New Westminster, Vancouver and Richmond, resulting in the seizure of large quantities of cocaine, MDMA, methamphetamine, fentanyl, prescription and counterfeit prescription pills, firearms, cash, and vehicles.
“During this investigation, multiple suspects were identified and taken into custody. Three suspects were arrested, and they are between the ages of 24 to 47 years old. A report to Public Prosecution Services of Canada is underway to recommend charges against the three suspects,” stated spokesperson Cpl. Sarbjit K. Sangha on Nov. 20.
The following is the total amounts of exhibits seized from the search warrants:
- 36.4 kilograms of fentanyl;
- $119,000 Canadian cash;
- 23 kilograms of MDMA;
- 20.4 kilograms of cocaine;
- 23 kilograms of methamphetamine;
- 1,300 pills which included counterfeit oxycodone, benzodiazepines, hydromorphone, amphetamine, and methylphenidate;
- 600 prescription pills (T3) and non-prescription (counterfeit oxycodone);
- 16 kg of benzodiazepine;
- 8.7 kg of xylazine tranq
- 1 kg caffeine;
- 1 kg of phenacetin;
- six prohibited firearms (two ghost guns, four smuggled firearms from the U.S.);
- ammunition, magazines;
- body armour;
- a 2024 Acura MDX;
- a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee; and,
- a 2020 Kia Forte.
