Team UK closed out the Celebration of light with a bang.

Team Pyrotex Fireworx brought the 2024 Celebration to a close July 27, 2024, as thousands of people gathered under the stars to catch the massive fireworks show.

It was the last night, with teams from Portugal and Malaysia competing July 20 and 24, respectively.

Like the previous show, a Red Bull airshow opened the skywards entertainment, followed by drones at dusk, before the explosive finale around 10 p.m.

From a public order point of view, the Vancouver Police Department says it was a relatively calm evening with a couple of minor issues and a few lost children (all of whom were returned safely).

"It was another very positive night. There were lots of families and people having a good time," says Const. Tania Visintin in an email to V.I.A.

For the final night the British team focused on films, with songs ranging from the iconic 20th Century Fox Movies intro to a piece from Top Gun: Maverick to "You're The One That I Want" from Grease.
