An outdoor storybook reading trail in Ladner for children and a program to provide food for Delta Secondary School students and their families who need it will benefit through proceeds from a secure Shred-A-Thon planned by the Rotary Club of Ladner for April 10.
ShredWise will provide secure shredding services of old tax returns, credit card bills, business records, bank statements, and personal information documents, at $10 per banker box equivalent and by additional donation, if desired.
The Shred-A-Thon, sponsored by Ideal Door and Envision Financial Ladner Branch, is scheduled for Saturday, April 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on a lot behind Eastlink at 5381 Ladner Trunk Road.
“Thanks to Ideal Door and Envision Financial in Ladner we have two shredding trucks booked so we can handle a lot of shredding,” said Rotary Club of Ladner president Peter Roaf. “Last Fall we had to stop early because we filled up one shredding truck earlier than expected, but we are ready to open much longer this year to support two important causes for children and youth in our community.”
