The South Delta Meals on Wheels Society (MoW) has been serving the communities of Ladner and Tsawwassen since the early 1970’s, and 2023/24 continues to be a productive year of service for its volunteer board members and drivers.

The overall year has been steady, with trained volunteer drivers delivering nutritious, ready to eat meals (for a reasonable cost) to those in the community who may not be able to prepare meals for themselves. Meals are prepared by the talented kitchen at KinVillage and are delivered on an alternating daily schedule to clients in Tsawwassen and Ladner.

MoW is potentially able to help anyone unable to prepare meals, it is not just a service for the elderly. MoW is able to work with clients to customize/personalize meals, a feature greatly appreciated by current clients. An informal check-in with clients is also enjoyed, as sometimes clients are isolated and enjoy seeing the friendly face of a volunteer driver.

Do you care for a family member and are concerned about their meal plans while you are away on vacation? MoW could assist you and help provide your loved one with meal continuity.

South Delta Meals on Wheels is always looking for new volunteers to be trained as drivers and for volunteers to participate at the board level.
