The Delta Community Foundation (DCF) is partnering with the Community Prosperity Fund and have $500,000 to distribute to eligible charities in Delta.

The DCF will receive applications for initiatives that target poverty reduction and social inclusion.

The Community Prosperity Fund is a $25 million investment from the Government of B.C. to advance poverty reduction and social inclusion in communities around B.C.

The Community Prosperity Fund is a unique funding structure that allows communities and organizations to decide how they use the funding. The DCF will ensure applications are reviewed at the local level. The Community Prosperity Fund will enable the DCF to respond to community needs over a three-year cycle. This funding supports both operational expenses and project delivery costs.

Applications can be submitted through the Vancouver Foundation’s web application portal at: https://cfc-fcc.smapply.ca/prog/cpf/ from now until June 24. Directions to this application process will also reside on the DCF’s website.

Charities, non-profit organizations and Indigenous-serving organizations, whose work advances poverty reduction and social inclusion in local communities are encouraged to apply.

“The Community Prosperity Fund will be immensely beneficial to charities, non-profits, and Indigenous-serving organizations in Delta,” said DCF chair Gail Martin. “We know there are many organizations within our community working hard to reduce poverty and advance social inclusion. If they thrive, we thrive. Funding like this, from senior levels of government, enable organizations like the Delta Community Foundation to distribute monies that can be focussed on the most urgent needs of our community.”
