OWL (Orphaned Wildlife) Rehabilitation Society is reopening its facility for public tours starting this Saturday.
According to a post on OWL’s social media, they will be offering tours every hour on weekends only and will now require pre-booking via phone between the hours of 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 604-946-3171. OWLwill not be accepting any walk-ins.
“We ask that all visitors over the age of three please wear a face mask or covering for the comfort and safety of our volunteers and staff and we ask that if you are feeling ill or have recently been in contact with someone who was ill, please phone to reschedule your tour for a later date,” said OWL. “Tour groups will be limited to eight people so that we can guarantee proper physical distancing on the tour path.
“Your visit will include a guided tour of our Front Education Raptors, as well as a tour of our Side Education Ambassadors, which are normally off limits to the public. The Wildlife Museum and Gift Shop will remain closed at this time, but we will be putting items on our website for curb-side pick up soon. Entry is by cash donation in one of our donation boxes.”
OWL is a non-profit organization whose staff and volunteers are dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of injured and orphaned raptors and to educating the public on the conservation and importance of them.
They are located at 3800-72nd Street in Delta.
