People heading into Point Roberts this summer have somewhere new to go for family fun.

Kora’s Corner Country Store, on Gulf Road, is adding a new dimension to the shop’s usual fare of souvenirs, handicrafts and specialty foods — rubber duckies.

The Rubber Duck Museum opens in the store on July 4, at 10 a.m. and features an extensive collection of rubber duck artifacts, autographed memorabilia, and rubber ducks.

“Launching the world’s first historical Rubber Duck Museum is a special milestone for us. We hope this whimsical collection brings joy, sparks creativity, and reminds everyone of the simple pleasures of childhood,” said Krystal King, co-owner of Kora’s Corner, in a release.

The museum includes pieces from different countries and eras, autographed memorabilia, and vintage rubber duck-related products and showcases the creativity and joy that rubber ducks inspire, making it a destination for families, tourists, and enthusiasts, said the release.
