The Wexford’s inaugural Turkey Drive-thru was a smashing success.
Held in support of Deltassist, the Dec. 8 event at the Tsawwassen seniors complex allowed people to drop off an unwrapped toy or pair of PJs and in return they received a frozen turkey.
Adding to the event was a visit from Santa Claus, carolers and lots of Christmas spirit.
The Wexford general manager Matt Jackson said more than $13,000 in toys, PJs and cash was donated to Deltassist.
“The community came out. Overall it was a great experience. The generosity of the community was huge,” said Jackson.
