Ladner Community Garden Society president Kristin Crouch (left) received a generous donation of $2,500 from South Delta Evergreen Garden Club president Lindsay Down last week. The South Delta Evergreen Garden Club wants to support community beautification programs. The funds will be used to add drought tolerant plants, a new arbor and fencing to the community garden, located in the 6500-block of Holly Park drive in Ladner. The garden club has been active in the community since 1952 and is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year. It is partnering with Delta Hospital extended care until for a plant sale on Saturday, May 5 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The club has lots of specialty perennials perfect for your garden.
