Sidekick Players had to postpone performances of Outlaw by Norm Foster last Thursday and Friday due to COVID-19 hitting the production team.
But the show must go on and there will be two more performances added this Friday, Nov. 11 and Saturday, Nov. 12 at 8 p.m.
There are still seats available for both performances. Call 604-288-2415 to reserve. Tickets are $20 for adults and $18 for seniors and students.
Outlaw is directed by Carroll Lefebvre for the Sidekick Players production. The play is about a young Canadian homesteader, Bob Hicks, played by Dean Sanderson travelling far from home who finds himself accused of murder in the state of Kansas in 1871. He encounters Will, played by Jeff Pannell, who is a wrangler in the area and searching for the murderer of Roland Keet’s brother, played by Brad Felton.
With only his wits to defend himself, Bob turns the law of the land - and the men hell-bent on enforcing it - upside down. Sheriff Dupuis Tarwater, played by Adrian Pryce enters the scene and gives Bob relief as he is about to be hung. But...does he, or doesn’t he? This authentic western is a unique take on the days when guns were the law.
The Players also have had to postpone their annual general meeting originally scheduled for Nov. 7 to Nov. 21 at 7:30 p.m. This will be a ZOOM meeting only.
