There’s a new Japanese food option in Ladner Village.
Sapporo Kitchen opened recently at the former site of Vagellis Grill & Lounge on 48th Avenue and is serving up sushi, Japanese curries, udon, ramen, yakisoba and more.
Lunch and dinner sets are also available.
The restaurant only uses Himalayan pink salt and bamboo roasted salt, has house-made, low-sodium soy sauce, serves a unique tea blend and only uses Sockeye salmon, its’ menu states.
A number of special rolls are on the menu, including examples such as Mango Tango (deep-fried asparagus, prawn tempura, cucumber and mango with mango sauce) and Beef Tataki (crabmeat, cucumber, avocado with torched AAA beef and black truffles, green onion on top with unagi sauce).
Sapporo Kitchen is open for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and for dinner from 5 to 9 p.m. The restaurant is closed on Tuesdays.
The restaurant, which can be reached at 604-946-7333, is located at 5011-48th Ave., Ladner.
