A local resident, known for his automobile collection, recently discovered that one of his antique cars was stolen.

The car, a 1926 Dodge four-door sedan was stolen from a garage on his property in the 6200-block of 28th Avenue. The vintage vehicle is dark blue with black fenders and running boards. The interior is believed to be blue velvet.

It's valued at $20,000.

The vehicle is not currently in running condition and would have had to be either towed or transported on a flatbed.

Lander's Landing, the popular local Facebook site, had a posting about the stolen car up earlier today and included the detail that it was spotted on Ladner Trunk Road on a trailer being pulled by a large grey truck heading toward Highway 17.
