The following are some of the calls of interest the Delta police responded to in the South Delta area between Tuesday, May 21 and Sunday, May 26:

Tsawwassen

. May 21, 8: 41 p.m., 2100-block of Tsawwassen Drive: Bike valued at $3,000 stolen from the residence. It is described as a 21-speed men's red and white Brodie mountain bike with saddlebags, rat trap and red, high-style handlebars.

. May 24, 5: 22 p.m., 5700-block of 12th Avenue: Complainant reported to police that a male had purchased a Giant Method 02 bicycle and a few bike parts worth $500.34 with a Visa credit card. The clerk in the shop had checked identification, which matched the card. The credit card company cancelled payment, indicating it to be fraudulent and that this was a case of identity theft.

. May 24, 10: 13 p.m., 400-block of Centennial Parkway: Report received that a group of youths had started two small bonfires on the beach. Police located the youths who were cooperative. They extinguished the fires and left the area.

. May 25, 4: 51 p.m., Point Roberts border crossing: Border guard reported they were holding a suspect who was driving while prohibited. Police attended and the driver was arrested, chartered and given a 24hour roadside suspension. The suspect was released on a promise to appear in court at a future date.

. May 26, 9: 12 p.m., 100block of Tsawwassen Beach Road: Complainant reported her wallet stolen while she was at the paintball centre. The wallet is described as a gold Guess brand with giraffe print containing driver's licence, Carecard, debit and credit cards, and $100 in currency.

. May 26, 9: 16 a.m., 5800-block of Goldenrod Crescent: Complainant reported the side mirror was broken off her vehicle sometime overnight. File number provided for insurance purposes.

. May 21, 10: 18 a.m., 8000-block of Hoskins Street: On an inspection of a truck parked overnight outside the business, the complainant found a high pressure oil pump valued at $1,400 had been stolen from under the hood.

. May 23, 2: 21 p.m., 6100-block of 48A Avenue: Complainant reported that someone had broken into his parent's home by removing the screen and entering through an open back window. Items stolen include an iPad, jewelry and rolled coins. A canvass of the neighbourhood revealed a man was seen entering the backyard in the afternoon. Investigation is still ongoing.

. May 25, 11: 30 p.m., 5500-block of Admiral Boulvard: Crime Watch reported four youths shooting at cans with a pellet gun in the playground of the elementary school. Police located the youths who admitted to the offence. All youths were cooperative and indicated they understood the potential consequences and seriousness of their actions.

. May 26, 10: 02 a.m., 4470-block of Dawn Drive: Unknown person entered the home of the complainant through an open upstairs window. Items stolen include a Dell laptop, jewelry, currency and a vehicle. The suspect found the keys to the vehicle in the residence and was observed by a neighbour backing the vehicle from the garage. The neighbour described the suspect as male with dark curly hair. Investigation is ongoing.

. May 26, 7: 46 p.m., 5200-block of Central Avenue: Police located several male youths who were hanging out on the roof of the school. The youths, following a warning, were cooperative and left the area as requested.
