The Centennial Beach parking lot will be buzzing with treasure hunters this Saturday.

Cammidge House volunteers of Boundary Bay Regional Park will once again be hosting the twice-monthly car boot sales, which begin this Saturday from 8: 30 a.m. to 12: 30 p.m.

The next sale is June 22 and will continue on the second and fourth Saturday of each month through September, weather permitting.

Who doesn't love the opportunity to sell surplus items? Vendors only have to load up their vehicles with their goods, bring a groundsheet or display table and hurry on down to the Centennial Beach parking lot to commence set up around 8 a.m.

Potential buyers seeking a treasure or two will be able to browse many vendors in one location and view items ranging from books, crafts, clothing, toys, household items as well as a few surprises.

"Our car boot sales are like having a garage sale without a garage and provides an opportunity for apartment or condo dwellers to sell off unwanted items," says Tom Bearss, one of the Cammidge House volunteers.

"This is an ideal way to recycle yet make a few dollars in the process."

It costs $10 for a space to sell items.

Refreshments are available at the event as well as the new Centennial Beach pavilion.
