?School's out! Kids are asked to start their summer off by joining their local Delta library on Thursday, June 28 from 2 - 4 p.m. for some fun activities. It's also a perfect time to sign up for the Summer Reading Club! This year's theme is "Strange...but True?" Kids will receive a reading record, a bookmark and chances to win prizes throughout the summer.

Adults and teens are invited to investigate some great reading during the summer break too - there's a book club for everyone. Summer Reading Club Kick-Off: Thursday, June 28 from 2 - 4 p.m. at Ladner Pioneer and Tsawwassen Libraries.

?The Royal Soccer Club, a registered non-profit community organization, is celebrating our 20th annual summer soccer day camps. There will be camps at Delta (Winskill Park and Memorial Park) from July 3 to August 31, 2012 (nine weekly sessions available) for 5-13-year-old boys and girls. ?Special Olympics BC

- Delta will be hosting a registration evening for both athletes and volunteers on Wednesday, July 11 from 6: 30-7: 30 in the lobby of the South Delta Recreation Centre in Tsawwassen.

We will be taking registrations for both our Fall (Basketball, Swimming, Floor Hockey, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Curling, 5-pin Bowling, Alpine Skiing and Fundamentals) and Spring (Track and Field, Soccer, Softball, Golf) programs.

?Celebrate Recovery is a non-profit meeting held every Friday night at South Delta Baptist Church starting at 7 p.m.. We are an "umbrella" group meaning we deal with any "hurt, habit or hang-up" and we come together to heal together. ?The South Delta Therapeutic Touch Practice Group meets the second Wednesday of every month at Natural Comfort Wellness Centre in Tsawwassen. The meetings are open to all practitioners with any level of TT training who want to practice their skills as well as members of the public who want to learn more about this healing modality. Help is close at hand. A Support Group led by a peer facilitator meets the second and fourth Tuesday each month from 7 to 9 p.m. Meetings are held at the CMHA's new location, 4871 Delta St., Ladner.

SENIORS

FUND RAISERS

?The Order of the Eastern Star Fraser Chapter #30 will hold a Strawberry Tea at the Ladner Masonic Hall, 4873 Delta St., on Saturday, June 30 from 1 to 2: 30 p.m. Cost is $7. Everyone welcome. Proceeds go towards cancer dressings.

?Emma Lea Farms will be hosting a Strawberry and Ice Cream fundraiser on Sunday, July 1 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. to celebrate Canada Day. Come by and enjoy a strawberry milkshake and a hotdog, with all proceeds going towards the Delta Hospital Foundation. We are located at 2727 Westham Island Road, Ladner. Call 604-946-8216.
