The Ladner Pioneer Library, 4683-51st St., and the Evergreen Garden Club is offering a three-week winter series designed to make your first steps into gardening easier. On Thursday, Jan. 30 at 7 p.m., you will identify what you have and what you want. On Thursday, Feb. 6 at 7 p.m., the bones of your garden will be discussed along with budget. Groundwork, types of soils, retail sources and problems and strategies for turning your dream into reality will be the topics on Thursday, Feb. 13, from 7 -8:30 p.m.

Delta Caregivers' Network is offering an education series and support group starting Thursday, Feb. 27 from 1:30 -3:30 p.m. once a week for eight weeks. Cost is $25.
