Did you catch a glimpse of the “blue hole” over Ladner earlier this week?
Ladner’s Landing Facebook group member Jeff Fletcher posted a pair of photos to social media Monday showing a neat looking cloud formation with the caption “Just waiting for the mothership to arrive in the blue hole...”
One commenter noted the formation is something called a fallstreak hole.
“A fallstreak hole (also known as a ‘hole punch cloud’) is a large circular or elliptical gap that can appear in cirrocumulus or altocumulus clouds,” the National Weather Service website explains.
