Delta Police are advising the public of a text scam involving the ICBC rebate that is making the rounds.

“Unfortunately many British Columbians have and are falling prey to this scam,” says Delta Police. “ICBC will not contact you via text or email for your gas relief rebate. Do not click the link as this is a phishing scam.”

No call too small

On May 20 at approximately 12 p.m., police were dispatched to investigate the report of a dog walking on the road in the 1700 block of Highway 17. Police conducted extensive patrols of the area, and were later notified that the dog had been picked up.

"We pride ourselves on our no call too small motto. Our officers care about the community of Delta. Our non-emergency number is 604-946-4411 - remember, no call is too small," say DPD.
