Friday, Oct. 7

North Delta:

- Motor Vehicle Incident: Nordel Way and 120th Street - Two car motor vehicle accident occurred after one driver attempted to turn left into the intersection. Both drivers taken to hospital with minor injuries, and the accident is still currently under investigation.

- Attempt Break and Enter: 7700-block 115th Street - Resident returned home to discover that one of his basement suite windows had the screen removed and the window was partially open. Resident advised that the window was closed prior to leaving the house and that tool markings on the window were not there when they left the residence. Delta police attended and the Forensic Identification Section was called to assist in the investigation.

South Delta:

- Assist Outside Agency: Hopcott and River Road - Delta police assisted the CN police with a collision involving a BNSF train and a tractor trailer. There were no injuries or hazardous materials spilled as a result of the collision. Delta police contained the accident scene until such time as the CN police arrived to conduct further investigation.

Saturday, Oct. 8

North Delta:

- Attempt Theft from Auto: 8900-block Watson Drive - Resident heard his vehicle door close and then observed several unknown people running down the street. Delta police arrived on scene contained the area and a police dog was deployed in an attempt to locate suspects. Suspects were not located, and the vehicle was towed for Forensic Identification Section to follow up with investigation. Still under investigation.

- Theft of Auto: 11300-block 92nd Avenue - Resident went outside and observed that their vehicle had been stolen. Delta police attended the scene and during the investigation discovered a second vehicle that had been attempted to be stolen. Stolen vehicle added to police database and attempted stolen vehicle towed for follow up investigation.

South Delta:

- Commercial Break and Enter: 9600-block River Road - Witness reported seeing two males stealing scrap metal from a local business, and then observed the males leave the area in a van. Delta police attended the area and located the van, subsequently arresting the two occupants for possession of stolen property.

- Motor Vehicle Incident: 500-block Ferry Causeway - Driver along with three passengers were driving along the causeway when the driver lost control of the vehicle, striking a light standard. The vehicle went airborne over a cement barricade landing on its roof. Minor injuries sustained as a result of the accident and injured parties transported to hospital for treatment.

Sunday, Oct. 9

North Delta:

South Delta:

- Assault with a Weapon: 1500-block 56th Street - Delta police were called in relation to a report of an assault with a weapon. When officers arrived on scene they were advised that a known suspect had been in a verbal altercation which was subsequently intervened by an acquaintance. The known male left the scene, but returned shortly thereafter and assaulted the acquaintance with a weapon. The acquaintance was taken to hospital to treat his injuries and the known suspect was arrested. Still under investigation.
