A Surrey woman is dead following a serious two-vehicle collision early Monday morning in North Delta.
According to a news release from Delta Police, officers were dispatched to the collision scene at the intersection of Scott Road and 84th Ave. just after 5 a.m. on May 1
“Collision analysts will be at the scene to collect and process evidence from the collision. The intersection will remain closed while these investigative steps are taken,” said A/Insp. James Sandberg, media spokesperson for Delta Police. “The cause of the collision is not yet known. The other driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
“Our thoughts and condolences are extended to the family and friends of the victim of this collision. We will not be releasing identification.”
As police remain at the collision scene, officers are asking motorists to avoid the area.
Police are seeking any witnesses to the collision or dash cam video.
