A significant quantity of illegal drugs, cash, evidence of drug trafficking, as well as four firearms were seized.

The Delta Police Department (DPD) says it has completed an extensive investigation into the drug trafficking activities of two Delta residents, an investigation that involved the execution of search warrants in Delta and Richmond in November 2022.

During the operations, investigators seized a significant quantity of illegal drugs, cash, evidence of drug trafficking, as well as four firearms, according to a DPD news release today.

Initially, both individuals were released pending further investigation.

As of September 2024, Crown Counsel has formally approved 30 charges against Devon Bains and Elliot Bains, encompassing alleged offences related to drug trafficking and firearms.

Both have been arrested and are currently in custody.

The DPD also says remains dedicated to combating drug trafficking and enhancing community safety and well-being, encouraging anyone with information regarding drug-related activities to report their concerns to their police of jurisdiction.
