Delta police seized 87 kilograms of suspected MDMA last month.

In a news release today, the Delta Police Department (DPD) said that on Sept. 6, the Patrol Support Team (PST) conducted a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle in North Delta, resulting in the seizure of the drug.

The occupants of the vehicle were initially arrested but were released at the scene pending further investigation.

The significant seizure underscores the prevalence of high-level drug trafficking activities affecting British Columbia, including the community of Delta, said the DPD.

The DPD along with its policing partners continue to combat the illicit drug trade as it works to increase community safety and well-being.
