Let’s take a trip back to March 1971 to check out a high-up sales promotion by Tsawwassen Toyota Motors.
The above photo shows the dealership hoping to attract attention for its newest model of car, the Toyota 1600, the dealership suspended it from a crane, of course.
The feat was staged in the parking lot of the Pillars Inn where a successful showing of the 1971 car also featured a wine and cheese party.
The dealership advertised the 1600 sedan for $2,250 and “that includes everything except a radio and automatic transmission.”
