A local man is in critical condition following a crash in Ladner early Saturday morning.
The single-vehicle crash occurred at around 2: 30 a.m. in the 5500-block of Ladner Trunk Road. Police believe speed and alcohol were contributing factors in the crash.
The driver, who was heading east on Ladner's main thoroughfare, was ejected from the pick-up truck and sustained serious head injuries, said Delta police Sgt. Kevin Jones. He is currently in intensive care.
Police had Ladner Trunk Road closed to traffic between 54A and 57th streets for several hours Saturday morning as officers investigated the accident.
