The City of Delta is advising motorists to prepare for delays and traffic detours on a stretch of major roadway for a few days starting this week.
A full road closure of 72nd Avenue, from Nicholson Road to 120th Street, will be in effect from Friday, Sept. 6 at 9 a.m. until Monday, Sept. 9 at 7 a.m. for water and sewer utility upgrades.
The work will continue day and night.
The project is part of preliminary work for the second phase of the 72 Avenue Road Improvements Project, which will take place between 115th Street and 120th Street.
The North Delta improvement project is to be completed by winter of 2025.
