The number of people in the City of Delta confirmed having contracted COVID-19 has moved upward for a seventh straight week.
According to the B.C. Centre for Disease Control’s weekly community map released Thursday, which covered the period March 7 to 13, Delta had 117 cases of people infected with the coronavirus.
The data didn’t specify how many may be cases of COVID-19 variants.
The latest map also sees Surrey continuing a steady climb over the past few weeks with that city at 925 cases.
Meanwhile, Richmond was at 97 cases, Burnaby had 319 cases and Vancouver had 602 cases.
B.C.’s state of emergency was extended this week for the 26th time.
The latest extension will be in effect until the end of day on March 30, 2021.
