Delta Hotels by Marriott - Vancouver Delta is open for business.
Located next to the interchange of highways 99 and 17A, the new hotel complex opened today (Dec. 15), said Jeff Krivoshen, CEO for P.R. Hotels Management Ltd., in an update to the Optimist.
Located next door to the new Cascades Casino Delta, which celebrated its grand opening in September, the 124-room hotel also features a fitness centre and meeting space.
For 007 enthusiasts, the hotel’s rooms are not just numbered but also named after characters from James Bond films. For example, the “Camille” board room comes from Quantum of Solace (2008), while the “Madeleine” conference room comes from Spectre (2015) and No Time To Die (2021).
The hotel will also have an outdoor pool and hot tub, which are still under construction, sundry shop, a grab 'n' go coffee shop serving Starbucks and easy access to the casino and its associated eateries.
“We are very excited to open this new Delta Hotels by Marriott hotel after constructing it over the course of the last 17 months. It only stands to reason that the biggest and best hotel in Delta, B.C. would be a Delta Hotels by Marriott. It truly is one of the most iconic hotel brands in Canada,” said Krivoshen.
The hotel will also feature a separate high-end day spa, named Severine Spa and Wellness, which is expected to open in February.
The wellness spa is named after “Severine” from the Bond film Skyfall (2012).
“We have been working very hard to get the hotel ready and the team trained, in anticipation of welcoming our first guests into the hotel. They are very eager to start serving travellers coming to the region,” said hotel general manager Sam Yu.
Pavel Randhawa, director of sales, said no details have been overlooked and the fact that it is adjacent to the Cascades Delta casino and conference centre, and their associated restaurants, is icing on the cake.
The hotel is owned and operated by South Fraser Hotel LP, which is jointly owned by P.R. Hotels Ltd. and Meridian Development Corporation. P.R. Hotels Ltd. will be managing and operating the hotel.
The Delta Hotels by Marriott-Vancouver Delta represents the 101st Delta hotel to open around the world.
The 100th Delta hotel opened in Dubai last week.
