A barn was destroyed by fire over the weekend.
Delta firefighters responded to the blaze on a farm in the 10400block of 59th Avenue in East Delta at 11: 25 p.m. Saturday.
Once the first crews arrived on scene, the fire was immediately assessed and elevated to a two-alarm blaze and additional resources were brought in.
In total, it took 24 firefighters and six trucks to bring the flames under control.
The fire didn't affect any other structures in the area; however, thick smoke forced the temporary evacuation of tenants from an adjacent home.
No injuries were reported and there were no animals in the barn.
Investigators are still on scene attempting to determine the cause and origin of the fire.
