There will be a meeting in Ladner tonight to form a local branch of the Navy League of Canada.
The new branch will provide the framework to later form a local Navy League Cadet Corps. Navy League Cadets is a program for boys and girls ages nine to 13. Cadets do a lot of fun, interesting activities such as sailing, camping, first aid, music and drill, in an environment that emphasizes teamwork and citizenship.
The meeting will take place at 7 p.m. in Room 155 of the Delta Manor Education Centre, 475057th St., Ladner.
Those wishing to support the formation of a new branch, as well as those who would like more information, are invited to attend.
