Delta's newly elected council will be sworn in Monday night.
Mayor Lois Jackson, who was elected to her fifth term in office last month, along with returning incumbent councilors Robert Campbell, Scott Hamilton, Bruce McDonald and Ian Paton, newly elected Sylvia Bishop, and Jeannie Kanakos, who served one term from 2005 to 2008, will be sworn in at the inaugural council meeting at 7 p.m. Monday.
Judge Kimberley Arthur-Leung will administer the oath of office and the oath is allegiance. As well, the mayor and councilors will be asked to sign the Code of Ethics for Council Members.
Jackson will also give her inaugural address.
