Most Optimist readers plan on continuing to wear face masks as a safety pre-caution even when they are no longer mandated.
That’s what our recent online poll suggests that ran from Feb. 11 to 16. We asked readers the question “Would you continue to wear a mask even if the mandate was dropped?” and provided three different options.
Coming in as the clear cut choice was 50 percent of our 388 participants opting for “Yes, only in indoors or crowded places.” Another 24 percent said nothing will change if the mandate is lifted, opting for “Yes, I prefer to keep wearing it.”
Rounding out the responses was the remaining 26 percent of our readers telling us “No, I can’t wait to get rid of it.”
Results are based on an online study of adult Delta Optimist readers that are located in Ladner. The margin of error - which measures sample variability - is +/- 4.93%, 19 times out of 20.
