These intentional actions are reckless and dangerous.

That’s how Delta Police are describing a series of pellet gun assaults in Tsawwassen that are now under investigation.

According to a news release, police say between July 12 and 15, the department has received three separate “assault with a weapon” reports in Tsawwassen.

Police say an assault occurred on July 12th at 5:50 p.m. at 11A Avenue and 53A Street, on July 13 at 9:14 p.m. in the 5000 block 1st Avenue and on July 15 at 11:36 p.m. in the 1200 block English Bluff Road.

Police are also confirming a fourth report which appears to have occurred in the parking lot in front of the TD Bank in the 1300 block of 56th Street.

“Each call involved youths/young adults driving in a grey or silver BMW sedan, shooting a pellet/BB gun at pedestrians,” said DPD spokesperson A/Insp. James Sandberg. “There is no known relation between any of the victims. No serious injuries have occurred. These intentional actions are reckless and dangerous.”

Police are investigating these acts as criminal code offences.
