Delta Police said in a Tweet on social media that it is in the clearing stages of the investigative scene.
The Optimist has learned that five people were transported to hospital, one in serious condition following the two-vehicle collision that occurred just after 3:30 p.m. on Friday afternoon.

Delta Police are on scene investigating a serious multi-vehicle collision in Tsawwassen.
According to police, the collision scene is at 56th St. and Highway 17.
56th St. North of Highway 17 is completely closed, highway traffic towards the ferry terminal is slowed with lane closures.
Acting Insp. James Sandberg told the Optimist that one person has been taken to hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
He said the traffic closures will extend into several hours on Friday night as collision analysts are at the scene to investigate.
56th St. will remain closed north of Highway 17 and westbound Highway 17 will be impacted with reduced lanes.
Police are asking motorists to avoid the area if possible.
