The following are some of the calls of interest the Delta police responded to in the South Delta area between Sunday, Oct. 9 and Sunday, Oct. 16: Tsawwassen - October 9, 9:35 a.m.

The following are some of the calls of interest the Delta police responded to in the South Delta area between Sunday, Oct. 9 and Sunday, Oct. 16:

Tsawwassen

- October 9, 9:35 a.m., 1300-block of Farrell Avenue: Complainant reported her car had been stolen. Entry was gained by smashing driver's window and the console was ripped out to start the vehicle. Vehicle was recovered in Surrey. No witnesses.

- October 9, 10:30 a.m., 1400-block of Beach Grove Road: Owner reported his vehicle, parked in the driveway, had its rear window smashed. Damage: $200. Nothing stolen. No witnesses.

- October 9, 6 a.m., 5500-block of 1st Avenue: An unknown suspect drove through the park, ripping up the grass while doing doughnuts. Damage: $2,000.

- October 12, 8:30 a.m., 4800-block of 7A Avenue: Complainant reported an unknown suspect gained entry to his vehicle and rifled through the glove box. A lingering odour of stale cigarette smoke was detected in the vehicle. No suspects or witnesses.

- October 12, 2:58 p.m., 1600-block of 53A Street: A 911 call was received from a young girl reporting someone entering the home while she was alone. Upon investigation it was revealed the housekeeper had left the residence for a short time and then returned. No further action required.

- October 12, 4:40 p.m., 12th Avenue & 56th Street: A witness reported an impaired driver and then followed the vehicle providing updates. A traffic stop was initiated and the driver exhibited an odour of alcohol, slurred speech and admitted to consuming three to four beers. After failing a roadside screening test, the subject was issued a 90-day driving suspension and the vehicle was towed.

- October 13, 5 p.m., 1800-block of 56th Street: Complainant reported his wallet was stolen from an unlocked locker. The wallet was black leather with a small silver design similar to the Harley Davidson logo.

- October 16, 10:45 a.m., 800-block of Tsawwassen Beach Road: Complainant reported apparent tampering with the community mailbox. Two doors appeared to have been pried open and boxes were empty. Canada Post was notified to secure the boxes. Damage: $500.

Ladner

- October 9, 9 a.m., 4500-block of 62nd Street: Complainant reported they parked their car in the driveway and later noticed damage to the door. Police suspect there was an attempt to pry the door open. Nothing was missing from the vehicle. Neighbourhood inquiries were negative.

- October 9, 4 p.m., 5400-block of 46th Avenue: Complainant reported they had parked their vehicle in the driveway. They locked the doors, but left the trunk closed but unlocked. They later noticed the trunk open and tools valued at $2,520 missing.

- October 9, 9:30 p.m., 4600-block of Morgan Place: Complainant reported two vehicles parked in the driveway were entered overnight and the contents thrown around.

- October 9, 8:30 p.m., 5200-block of Lynn Place: Complainant reported they had parked their vehicle in the driveway and left it unlocked. They later noticed the glove compartment was open and an iPod valued at $150 was missing.

- October 10, 5:30 p.m., 4900-block of Harbour Street: Complainant reported an unknown suspect had pried the lock on an external bike compound. Police located a butter knife that was believed to be used to pry the lock. The knife was submitted to forensics section for evidence. There were no witnesses and no video surveillance.

- October 12, 10:10 a.m., 3500-block of Arthur Drive: Complainant reported their vehicle was stolen from their driveway. There were no witnesses. The vehicle was locked and all keys were accounted for. The vehicle was valued at $20,000, with four snow tires valued at $400 in the back.

- October 12, 7:45 a.m., 4600-block of Clarence Taylor Crescent: Complainant reported a theft from their vehicle. It was unknown if the vehicle was locked. Missing was a purse containing ID and bank cards. Total value of missing items: $540.

- October 12, 2 a.m., 4700-block of Delta Street: Complainant reported licence plate stolen from vehicle. File entered onto police data base.

- October 13, 10 a.m., 4600-block of Clarence Taylor Crescent: Complainant reported that a break and enter had occurred at the ambulance station. Nothing appeared to be missing.

- October 13, 6:12 p.m., 3200-block of 72nd Street: Complainant reported a theft from auto. The window had been broken. They stated their insurance papers and a pair of shorts were missing. Damage to the window: $500.

- October 13, 7 p.m., 2100-block of Westham Island Road: Complainant reported an unlocked barn had been entered. Two Skil chainsaws, a Stihl blower and an Airco air wrench were stolen.

- October 14, 5:25 p.m., 4200-block of 72nd Street: Complainant reported someone had broken into their vehicle. The lock was punched and the door was pried. The battery was stolen.

- October 14, 8:14 p.m., Highway 17 and Ladner Trunk Road: Complaint reported a possible drunk driver. Police located the vehicle and it appeared to be swerving. The vehicle was stopped and the driver displayed indicators for impairment. The vehicle was towed and the driver was picked up by a family member. The B.C. driver's licence was seized.

- October 15, 12:45 a.m., 4800-block of 54A Street: Complainant reported unknown male had thrown a rock through the rear window. The suspect fled through a park. A baseball-sized rock was found inside the vehicle. Value of damage: $300.

- October 15, 2:52 a.m., 4900-block of Elliott Street: Complainant reported hearing someone breaking into their apartment via the second floor balcony. Police found the underground parking lot had been broken into. Two vehicles had been broken into by punching the locks. Nothing appeared to be stolen. Owners of the vehicles were notified. Total damage: $600. No video and no witnesses.

- October 15, 2:20 p.m., 4800-block of 54th Street: While investigating another mischief call, police noticed a vehicle in a driveway with a smashed rear window. A rock was found inside.

- October 15, 8 p.m., 4900-block of 54A Street: Complainant reported their vehicle had been vandalized. The windshield was smashed and the roof was dented. The vehicle had been taken for repairs before it had been reported to police. Damage: $1,500.

- October 15, 7:03 p.m., 4600-block of Clarence Taylor Crescent: Complainant reported passenger window had been smashed while vehicle was parked. A wallet and gym bag were stolen. Damage: $300.

- October 15, 10 p.m., 4400-block of 48A Street. Complainant reported two mountain bikes had been stolen from under the stairs. Bikes were not locked. Value: $1,400. B.C. driver's licence numbers were engraved in the frames. Numbers entered in CPIC.

- October 15, 11:30 p.m., 4900-block of 47A Avenue: Complainant reported unknown suspects had entered the underground parking lot. Lockers were entered, but nothing stolen. Two bicycles were missing, valued at $500 each.

- October 15, 8:15 p.m., 4500-block of Evergreen Lane: Complainant reported two bicycles had been stolen from the underground parking lot. Total value: $500.

- October 16, 8:51 a.m., 4700-block of 51st Street: Complainant reported a break-in had occurred in the parking garage. Seven vehicles had been entered but nothing appeared to be stolen, except figure skates valued at $100. No witnesses. A bike was recovered at the scene that did not belong to the residents.
