TSAWWASSEN 

October 9, 1200 Block of 56th Street: Police conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle leaving the pub parking lot.  The driver indicated they had one drink ten minutes ago. Two breath samples were provided by the driver with both reading “Fail”.  As a result, they were given a 90-day immediate roadside prohibition, and a 30-day vehicle impoundment. Police explained to the driver the consequences of driving while prohibited.  The vehicle was towed from the scene and the driver left the area on foot.

October 12, 1300 Block of 55th Street: Complainant reported their apartment building had been egged. Police attended, but the suspects were gone on arrival, and area patrols proved negative. Police left the area but were called back by the complainant as three males were spotted carrying a carton of eggs. The three youth were located, as well as a vehicle which was freshly egged. As there was no damage the three youth were released with a warning. 

October 12, 54A Street & 11th Avenue: Police stopped a vehicle, an odour of liquor emanated from the driver, who stated their last drink was 15 minutes prior.  Two breath samples provided by the driver read “Fail”. As a result, the driver was given a 90-day roadside prohibition and a 30-day vehicle impoundment.  The vehicle was towed from the scene.

October 12, HQ 4455 Clarence Taylor Crescent: Complainant attended police headquarters to report they had fallen victim to an internet scam. On Facebook Messenger they had been convinced to buy $2,000 worth of gift cards and send the information to the scammer in return for investment money. Police assisted the complainant with blocking and reporting associated accounts and establishing an extensive safety plan to prevent future fraud. 

LADNER 

October 8, 5300 Block of Ladner Trunk Road: Complainant reported they dropped their iPhone while walking. When they returned to the area, they observed a male on a bike stop and pick up what they believe to be the phone and leave the area. The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, 17-22 years of age wearing a grey hoodie, and grey reflective stripped pants riding a red box bike. The incident is under investigation.

October 9, 6000 Block of 62B Street: Police conducting a roadblock stopped a vehicle with the driver stating they had their last drink twenty minutes ago. The driver provided two breath samples with both reading “Warn”.  As a result, the driver was given a 3 day immediate roadside prohibition and the vehicle impounded. The driver left the area by taxi.

October 11, 3400 Block of Hwy 17: Police stopped a vehicle travelling at 142 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone. The driver was served with a speeding ticket and the vehicle impounded. The driver left the area in a taxi.
