Here's a 1968 photo of Minnesota Viking quarterback and former B.C. Lion Joe Kapp signing autographs at the Sacred Heart auditorium.
Having begun his CFL career in Calgary, Kapp won a Grey Cup with the Lions four years earlier.
In 1990 he had a disastrous season as general manager of the Lions.
He was also a controversial figure during his playing days and after he retired.
He made headlines, at the age of 73, when he punched out former CFL rival Angelo Mosca, 74, during an alumni luncheon in Vancouver.
Kapp passed away this week at the age of 85.
