TOOB has stepped up big for Deltassist, presenting the non-profit organization a cheque for $27,000 for its Christmas Hamper Program during this difficult pandemic year.
For the past 32 years, TOOB has either operated its own Christmas Hamper program or has supported, with the Ladner Legion and other Delta service clubs, the program operated by Deltassist.
In a normal year, the program would collect food donations and to pack Christmas hampers which would then be delivered to low income Delta families. This year, that proved to be impossible due to the pandemic. So instead Deltassist has raised funds which will allow it to purchase and distribute food gift cards to those in need.
TOOB wishes to express its great appreciation to Delta Foundation, the Government of Canada’s Emergency Community Support Fund and the B.C. Gaming Commission, all of whom made contributions to TOOB in order to allow TOOB to make its donation to Deltassist.
