A Delta Hospital COVID-19 Response Fund has been set up as a way the community can directly help their local hospital during the crises.

Residents can donate directly to a fund to help Delta Hospital during the coronavirus pandemic.

“At Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation, we are grateful for your support of critical needs at Delta Hospital. These next few weeks are when our staff at Delta Hospital need you the most. They are working around the clock to keep our community healthy and safe,” the foundation states.

The local business community has been trying to help frontline staff at Delta Hospital.

Boca Grande Donut Shop, Stir Coffee House, Mario's Kitchen and Panago Pizza were among those donating food and drinks for hospital staff.

“The staff truly appreciates your generosity,” said the Delta Hospital Foundation on social media.

“This delivery was coordinated with Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation to ensure safety and #socialdistancing for all parties involved.

The Foundation is coordinating all in-kind donation offers at this time.

If you want to donate in-kind items to Delta Hospital and their staff such as meals, please email [email protected] or call ‪604-940-9695 and we will coordinate on their behalf.

We ask that you do not bring items directly to Delta Hospital.

We are trying to limit the number of non-essential people on site to minimize traffic and adhere to social distancing efforts.”

Businesses in North Delta have been trying to help hospital frontline staff as well, such as Tasty Indian Bistro which has donated meals for the Surrey Memorial ER staff.
