Delta’s Singh shines again with SFU lacrosse

Arjan Singh, a native of North Delta and a graduate of Delview Secondary, played a pivotal role in guiding SFU to a consecutive PNCLL Conference title with a win against the Oregon Ducks in Missoula, Montana.

Delta’s Arjan Singh made sure his final season as senior captain of the SFU men’s lacrosse team was a good one.

Singh, a native of North Delta and a graduate of Delview Secondary, played a pivotal role in guiding SFU to a consecutive PNCLL Conference title with a win against the Oregon Ducks in Missoula, Montana.

His exceptional defensive abilities earned him recognition as the PNCLL Defensive Player of the Year, a spot on the Division 1 PNCLL All-Conference team, and a 2nd Team All-American accolade in the MCLA.

These are accolades he also achieved last year.

In addition to this, he also led all defensemen within his conference with 80 ground balls. SFU finished the season with a loss to Texas in the first round of the MCLA nationals.

Singh has made significant contributions to lacrosse in Delta. From 2018 to 2021, he showcased his skills as a member of the Junior A Islanders. He also gives back by coaching local teams. He is currently the head coach of the U17 A2 Delta Islanders.
