Spencer Traher's unassisted shorthanded goal in overtime lifted the Delta Ice Hawks to a 3-2 win over the North Delta Devils on Tuesday night.
Sam Vikich and Taylor Kislanko scored just 26 seconds apart in the opening period to give the Ice Hawks a 2-0 lead. They wouldn't find the net again until Traher's heroics while his team was killing a penalty for too many men.
Delta improved to 10-2-1-1 with the win, good enough for a first place tie with the still unbeaten Richmond Sockeyes (11-0-0-0). The two rivals meet Sunday (6: 15 p.m.) at Minoru Arena.
