Delta Lacrosse is wellrepresented on the inaugural Burnaby Mountain Selects Girls High School Elite team which launched its fall season by splitting a pair of games south of the border.

Coached by former NCAA women's lacrosse coaches Chris Fox and Stephanie Burlton, Burnaby Mountain was part of an exhibition series hosted by Lakeside High School, near Seattle. The Selects posted a 1-1record, winning their first game versus Vand'al Red, before falling 10-8 to Puget Sound Select, a team consisting of the top female high school athletes in the Seattle area.

The Burnaby Mountain roster features four locals - Priscilla Lawson-Pires, Erika Mackenzie, Chalane Morrison and Savannah Phillips. All are currently in their Grade 11 year at Delta secondary school.

The girls will be back in action January 14-15 at the Sand Storm Lacrosse Festival in Palm Springs. The well-known recruiting tournament will take place at the Empire Polo Club and feature 80 teams across four divisions. While in California, the Selects will also tour the University of Southern California (NCAA Div. I), Occidental College (NCAA Div. III) and Whittier College (NCAA Div. III), during an overnight stay in Los Angeles.
