The skill and commitment of Ladner minor baseball was on full display as two of its teams had impressive tournament performances earlier this month.
The first tournament took place in Ladner on the July long weekend as the Ladner Minor Baseball Association hosted the first ever AAA 11U Big Maple Classic Summer Ball Tournament. The talented Ladner Red Sox AAA players went undefeated to place first, undeterred by the weekend’s extreme heat conditions.
Not to be outdone, the determined players on the 9U Red Sox Summer Ball team went undefeated to win the Andrews Invitational Tournament in Cloverdale, finishing up with a commanding 15-4 win over Cloverdale.
