Coaches and volunteers from South Delta and the Vancouver area will be returning to the Oaxaca Coast/Huatulco to give a baseball experience camp for two weeks to under privileged children.

The organization started in 2022 in Puerto Escondido (84 kids) and in 2023 in Pochutla (108 kids).

“Our goal is to have three associations on the Oaxaca coast so they can continue to play each other for years to come,” said Tsawwassen resident Mike Canaday.

The group provides all equipment, uniforms, and money to deliver camp.

With the help from Ladner Minor Baseball and Tsawwassen Amateur Baseball Association (TABA) gear collection has been great in years past.

“We are lacking used gloves and pants for this year’s camp,” said Canaday.

TABA has put a donation bin for used gloves and pants at the Winskill Park concession during opening hours.

“With the support of TABA, we are hoping to collect the amount of used gloves needed for this year’s camp,” added Tsawwassen coach RJ O’Neil. “We are expecting close to 100 children.”

If you have any used gloves or baseball pants for children ages five to 14, you can donate at the Winskill Park concession.
