I was appalled to hear that Mayor Lois Jackson held a summit with the proposed developer of the Southlands that was not open to the public or the media. If this wasn't illegal, it certainly wasn't ethical.
What did they discuss? How the developer would proceed with his plans so he wouldn't get approval?
Then, I read Greg Hoover's excellent letter, which stated Jackson had told him previously that such closed-door meetings are "never done."
One more item of many to remember for election day.
