Driver disgusted and irritated by comments from South Fraser Perimeter Road project director

Editor: Re: One lane equals big delays, Feb. 7 I was quite disgusted to read the comments from South Fraser Perimeter Road project director Geoff Freer regarding the traffic backing up at the junction of Highway 17A and Highway 99.

One comment in particular about some Tsawwassen drivers "figuring out" that taking the SFPR is quicker after 7 a.m. is particularly irritating. It's only quicker for these drivers to take a longer route (which also uses more gas) because of the farcical road design that this fool has forced upon us.

Allow those using the SFPR to join Highway 99 sooner giving them the option to use the counterflow lane and revert to two lanes at the Highway 99/17A interchange.

Lastly, I implore the province to hire better people to design our roads.
