The article in the Aug. 22 edition of the Optimist clearly shows that ‘harm reduction’ is not working.
Why do we continue to enable and promote drug use? We need access to detox and treatment and recovery houses.
Treatment that is immediate and lasting at least three months.
The 12-step programs are known to work.
We need to develop more ways to get off drugs instead of making it easier to get on drugs.
We need to bring drug awareness into our schools to educate our youngsters.
I want a drug free society, not a free drug society.
